JOSEPH BLACKBOURN, Chairman of The Integrity Project
Joe Blackbourn founded Scottsdale, Arizona-based Everest Holdings in 2002. In 25-plus years in the real estate industry, Joe has had direct involvement with the investment side of transactions with aggregate value well in excess of $2 billion, including office buildings, master-planned communities, multifamily communities, shopping centers, hotel properties, business parks, mixed-use developments, residential land, commercial land, mortgage pools, and portfolios of distressed assets.
CRAIG KRUMWIEDE
President and CEO of Harvard Investments since 1994, Craig Krumwiede leads the company's investment and development activities and sets its strategic direction and pace. Prior to joining Harvard Investments, Craig put his law degree to use as a tax specialist with Deloitte & Touche. He is passionate about community real estate development and his charitable endeavors. He is a founding member of Social Venture Partners Arizona, which helps grow innovative nonprofit organizations.
WELLINGTON “DUKE” REITER
Duke Reiter, FAIA, is the Special Advisor to the President of Arizona State University. His responsibilities feature large, multi-stakeholder efforts in the areas of higher education, sustainable urbanism, and the advancement of the New American University mission at ASU.
BYRON SARHANGIAN
Byron Sarhangian is based in Snell & Wilmer's Phoenix office where he serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Real Estate Practice Group and Opportunity Zone Industry Group. His practice is concentrated in real estate and business transactions which include purchase and sale transactions, leasing, financing and brokerage matters.
STEPHEN RICHER
Former Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer, known for his efforts to ensure election integrity and transparency throughout his tenure, served from January 2021 until January 2025 and was recognized for his commitment to fair elections, even facing significant political backlash. Richer recently joined the Center of Democratic Governance and Innovation at the Harvard Kennedy School as its newest Senior Practice Fellow in American Democracy. With his background in Arizona elections, Richer expects to play an integral role within the Reimagining Democracy program at the Center, and a welcomed new addition to The Integrity Project Board of Directors.
MI-AI PARRISH
Mi-Ai Parrish served as president and publisher of The Arizona Republic/AZCentral.com and market president at USA Today Network, where the team won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for "The Wall," a multi-layered examination of the southern border with Mexico. She currently leads Arizona State University Media Enterprise and is the Professor for Media Innovation and Leadership at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She also is president and CEO of MAP Strategies Group in Phoenix.
BARRY BURDEN
Barry Burden is Professor of Political Science, Director of the Elections Research Center, and the Lyons Family Chair in Electoral Politics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Burden's research and teaching focus on U.S. elections, public opinion, representation, and the U.S. Congress. His recent research examines aspects of election administration and voter participation.
